The Festival will offer a large choice of films from around the world produced in 2016-2017. The competitive and non-competitive sections will present dramatic features and shorts, mainstream and art-house cinema, as well as documentaries. The program includes a special “Five Continents” competition of films for children and “6 Plaza” screenings of films from developing countries. Q&As with filmmakers and stars will complement the screenings. The first Eurasia Film Market will be held during the festival.
The Eurasia International Film Festival (“EIFF”) is operated by The National Academy Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and financed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. EIFF is the major filmmaker forum in Central Asia bringing together multi-polar and multicultural world of Asian and European cinema.
Festival participants are accredited by the Festival. Visitors and press can register online until July 21st. From July 22nd through 27th, accreditation is only available at the Festival Center in Wyndham Garden Hotel. Accreditation is free.
