Eurasia Spotlight was founded in 2011 with the main goal to help integrating Kazakhstan into the international film industry.
Eurasia Spotlight works closely with the annual Eurasia International Film Festival, the largest film event in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, bringing together film professionals from around the world to connect and share their experience with Kazakhstan.
Eurasia Spotlight spans over 5 days and presents:
- Public Pitching of feature and short film projects in development before the international jury
- Work-in-Progress presentations
- Showcase of recently completed Kazakh films ready for theatrical release
- Round tables and panel discussions
- Series of master classes and workshops
Our goals:
- Create a unique meeting point for filmmakers in Kazakhstan
- Support Kazakhstan’s young talents
- Showcase motion pictures made in Kazakhstan within the last year
- Share international expertise and discuss latest film trends
- Help international experts to discover Kazakhstan’s filmmaking
- Promote Kazakhstan as a unique shooting and cultural location
